A Word about Words...

Words are powerful...way too powerful considering how misconstrued they can become.  Many words having many meanings.  We are asking for trouble using such unreliable means of communication, don't you think?

We assume when we listen to others that their definitions of the words they use are the same as ours. We do not know if this is true.  We don't even know if they (or we) fully understand what the word means.  Maybe they mispronounced it.  Maybe we heard wrong.  Maybe there is something they are not saying at all.

I believe that all, yes ALL of the world's problems come down to miscommunication... misunderstanding... and of course, assumptions based on these.

Let it go!  No one does anything that s/he thinks is wrong.  If you think it's wrong, that is because you see it your way, and they see it their way.  We each see through the filter of our own eyes, our own experiences, our own social conditioning.  Stop making judgment calls and live only YOUR life, not everyone else's.  We each have our own path.

Watch your words!  Be careful what words you choose as they will manifest in your life.  Thoughts become words, words become actions, actions become habit. this means think positively...when you have a negative thought, rearrange it.  The first thought is where we make our decision about a thing. If it is positive, then positive experiences will follow...  It is easiest when we start in a positive light. Of course it is always possible to change our mind about something if we set off on the wrong foot, but starting that way is certainly ideal, and gives great momentum.

When you notice a lack of something that you wish to attract... For example, money.  Do not say, "I need money".  Try something like, "I look forward to having more money".  Then, behave like you have it!  Be generous and remember there IS always more where that came from.  The Universe will copy what you put out there, so if you act like you have what you think you lack, then you will attract it to you. (Something fun to do: Write positive phrases on money before you spend it.  Something like 'Peace', 'All you need is Love', 'Return to me', or any positive message you wish to send out.)

Of course this works for anything, not just money. (It just seems to be the language most people speak these days.)  You want love in your life?  Then LOVE!  Be love!  And love indiscriminately, because each and every one of us deserves it.  Most of all, be sure you are loving your Self.  And remember that we are all Love, and we are all One, and in truly loving your Self, you are loving everyone.  You are recognizing that God is each of us. ( And no, that is not a typo, God IS each of us.)

I highly suggest removing harsh negative words from your vocabulary.  I do not use the word "hate", even for benign things that one would assume don't matter. ("I hate it when that happens!")  I just don't say it.  At all.  Why perpetuate it?  Why give it power?

Keep your words honest.  Say what you mean and mean what you say.  Do your best to follow through with your words, and when that is not possible be honest and own up to it.  This keeps your channel clean, and makes your words even more powerful, and will help you to manifest positive things in your life.

Breathe before you speak.  When you have something important to vocalize, stop, breathe, ask for assistance from your Higher Self.  Then stop thinking and let it flow.

Write.  Just for you.  Empty your thoughts on paper, and then if you wish, burn it, bury it or offer it to water.  In those writings, be positive.  If you have negative things to air, then do so in a healing way and seek to understand why these negative things happened to you.  What have you learned?  Where has it brought you?  What good things would not have happened had it not occurred?  There are no unfortunate events in our lives, it is only our judgment of them.  Make every situation good for you.  Choose to be happy.  Choose to add positivity to our darkened little world.  Start within and start with YOU!
